Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Openventio Publishers applies a tiered Article Processing Charge based on the corresponding author's country income classification (per World Bank classification) and article type:

An additional $179 USD applies for language editing, where required, regardless of article type.

APCs are charged only upon acceptance of a manuscript. There is no submission fee, and rejected manuscripts are never charged.

Payment Methods

Authors may pay via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover) or wire transfer. Credit card payments are processed through a secure, partnered payment gateway; available payment options may vary depending on the author's country and card type.

Waiver Policy

A full (100%) APC waiver may be granted to:

• Corresponding authors from low-income countries, as classified by the World Bank
• Authors who can demonstrate genuine financial hardship, including lack of institutional or grant funding
• Students and early-career researchers without independent funding, upon request and with proper justification

How to Apply

Authors must request a waiver by email, at the time of manuscript submission, stating their affiliation, country of residence, source(s) of research funding (if any), and justification for the request. Waiver requests submitted after acceptance will not be considered.

Decision Process

Waiver requests are reviewed by the editorial team and a decision is communicated before the peer review process begins. This sequencing ensures that an author's ability to pay, or their waiver status, has no influence on manuscript evaluation or editorial decisions.
