Pediatrics and Neonatal Nursing (PNN) is committed to the principle that research on child and newborn health, particularly in a field with such direct clinical relevance, should be freely and immediately accessible to the widest possible audience — pediatricians, neonatal nurses, researchers, and families alike.

Immediate Open Access

All articles published in PNN are made freely available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription, registration, or paywall restricting access, and no embargo period (see Publisher Policies).

No Access Barriers

Readers do not need to create an account, pay a fee, or obtain permission to read, download, or share published PNN articles — important given that neonatal nurses and pediatric care teams may need rapid access to relevant clinical guidance.

Licensing

All open-access content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing readers to copy, distribute, and build upon the published work, provided appropriate credit is given (see Copyright & Licensing).

Alignment with International Open Access Standards

PNN's open access model is consistent with the principles set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
