Editorial Assessment & Peer Review Process

Openventio Publishers is committed to maintaining scientific quality, editorial integrity, and ethical publishing standards through a structured editorial assessment and independent peer review process. Each submitted manuscript undergoes multiple stages of evaluation to ensure quality, transparency, and relevance.

  1. Manuscript Submission and Initial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are reviewed by the Editorial Office to verify completeness, compliance with journal guidelines, scope relevance, and required submission documents. Initial checks may include:

  • Manuscript formatting and submission completeness
  • Author information and declarations
  • Ethical statements and approvals where applicable
  • Conflict of interest disclosures
  • Originality and plagiarism screening
  • Compliance with journal policies and publication ethics standards

Submissions that do not meet journal requirements may be returned for correction or declined during the preliminary assessment stage.

  1. Editorial Assessment

Following the initial screening, the manuscript is evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and/or designated handling editor to assess:

  • Scientific relevance and novelty
  • Alignment with journal aims and scope
  • Methodological quality and research significance
  • Ethical compliance and reporting quality
  • Suitability for peer review consideration

Only manuscripts meeting editorial standards proceed to peer review.

  1. Independent Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to qualified subject experts with relevant academic and research expertise. Reviewers are selected based on scientific background, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.

The peer review process evaluates:

  • Originality and contribution to the field
  • Scientific validity and methodology
  • Data interpretation and reliability
  • Clarity, structure, and presentation
  • Ethical considerations and reporting standards

Reviewer recommendations support the editorial evaluation process.

  1. Editorial Decision

Editorial decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and/or handling editor after assessment of reviewer comments and editorial evaluation.

Possible decisions include:

  • Acceptance
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Re-review Required
  • Rejection

Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, peer review outcomes, quality standards, and journal policies.

  1. Revision and Reassessment

Authors submitting revised manuscripts are expected to provide detailed responses addressing reviewer and editorial comments. Revised submissions are reassessed by editors and, where appropriate, may be returned to reviewers for additional evaluation.

  1. Final Acceptance and Production

Manuscripts accepted for publication proceed to production processes including copyediting, formatting, proof review, metadata preparation, and publication.

Editorial Independence and Integrity

Editorial decisions are conducted independently and remain separate from administrative and publishing operations. Manuscripts are assessed solely on scientific quality, relevance, originality, and compliance with ethical publishing standards.

Commitment to Responsible Publishing

Openventio Publishers supports transparent editorial practices, ethical peer review, and responsible scholarly communication to strengthen research quality and global knowledge dissemination.
