English Language Editing Policy

Liver Research – Open Journal (LROJ) welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide, including those for whom English is not a first language, and is committed to ensuring that language quality does not present an unnecessary barrier to the publication of scientifically sound research.

Language Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to LROJ must be written in clear, grammatically correct English to allow reviewers and readers to accurately assess and understand the scientific content. Manuscripts containing significant language errors that impede comprehension may be returned to the author for language improvement prior to entering full peer review.

Recommendation for Non-Native English Speakers

Authors who are not confident in the English-language quality of their manuscript are encouraged to have their work reviewed by a colleague fluent in scientific English, or to make use of a professional English-language editing service, prior to submission.

Independence from Peer Review

Language editing is entirely separate from, and does not influence, the scientific peer review process. A manuscript will not be accepted or rejected on the basis of language quality alone if the underlying science is sound; however, authors are responsible for ensuring their manuscript is comprehensible enough for reviewers to properly evaluate its scientific merit.

No Endorsement of Specific Services

While the journal may reference third-party English-language editing services as a convenience to authors, use of any particular service is entirely optional and does not guarantee or influence manuscript acceptance in any way.

Editorial Support

Where a manuscript is scientifically strong but requires language refinement, the editorial team may, at its discretion, offer general guidance to the author regarding areas needing improvement, though authors remain responsible for the final quality of the manuscript's language.
