Who Should Submit
The journal welcomes contributions from endocrinologists, obesity medicine specialists, nutritionists, researchers, general practitioners, educators, and trainees engaged in obesity and metabolic disease research and clinical care, consistent with the manuscript types described in the Author Guidelines.
Scope of Contributions
OR accepts a broad range of article types — original research, review articles, case reports, mini reviews, editorials, short communications, and letters to the editor — provided each submission falls genuinely within the subject areas above and meets the journal's standards for scientific and clinical rigor, as evaluated through the Peer Review Process.
What Falls Outside Our Scope
Manuscripts addressing bariatric surgical technique without a substantive metabolic, nutritional, or behavioral research focus are generally better suited to a dedicated surgical journal, and authors are encouraged to consider journal fit carefully before submission.
