Prevalence of Hepatitis B Virus among Blood Donors and Assessment of Blood Donor’s Knowledge about HBV in Sudan
Abstract
The prevalence of Hepatitis B varies between different regions of Sudan according to several published reports, but no data is available about the prevalence of HBV in all Sudan states, in a given time. The objective of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of hepatitis B virus among blood donors in all Sudan states in the years 2012-2014, its also assess the knowledge of blood donors about HBV modes of transmission, complications and preventive measures.
