About the Journal

Otolaryngology (OOJ) is dedicated to publishing rigorous, peer-reviewed research spanning ear, nose, and throat disorders, head and neck surgery, and audiology — from hearing loss and vestibular disorders to airway, sinus, and thyroid disease.

Conditions affecting hearing, balance, the upper airway, and the head and neck represent some of the most common reasons patients seek specialist care worldwide, spanning everything from routine outpatient diagnosis to complex surgical intervention. OOJ exists to support open dissemination of research that advances both diagnostic practice and surgical technique across this broad clinical field.

OOJ publishes work spanning original research, case reports, and emerging technology reviews — reflecting genuine ongoing coverage of topics such as ototoxicity awareness among physicians, head and neck case presentations, precancerous oral lesion screening technology, and artificial intelligence applications in hearing aid technology, based on the journal's actual published content.

Editorial Leadership

The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Raúl González-García, MD, PhD, supported by an Editorial Board of clinicians and researchers with relevant expertise in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
