Orthopedics Research and Traumatology (ORT) is dedicated to the open dissemination and rigorous discussion of research spanning orthopedic surgery and traumatology, consistent with the journal's Publication Ethics commitment to scientifically sound, clinically relevant scholarship.

ORT welcomes original research, reviews, and case reports covering:
- Fracture management, including open extremity fractures and debridement protocols
- Complex fracture-dislocations and their surgical management
- Joint reconstruction and arthroplasty
- Spine trauma and disorders
- Sports medicine and musculoskeletal injury
- Musculoskeletal oncology
- Pediatric orthopedics
- Peripheral nerve injury associated with orthopedic trauma
- Post-traumatic and post-surgical complications, including infection
Who Should Submit
The journal welcomes contributions from orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, researchers, sports medicine specialists, general practitioners, educators, and trainees engaged in musculoskeletal research and clinical care, consistent with the manuscript types described in the Author Guidelines.
Scope of Contributions
ORT accepts a broad range of article types — original research, review articles, case reports, mini reviews, editorials, short communications, and letters to the editor — provided each submission falls genuinely within the subject areas above and meets the journal's standards for scientific and surgical rigor, as evaluated through the Peer Review Process.
What Falls Outside Our Scope
Manuscripts addressing musculoskeletal conditions purely from a non-surgical rheumatological or physiatric perspective, without a substantive orthopedic surgery or traumatology focus, are generally better suited to a dedicated rheumatology or physical medicine journal, and authors are encouraged to consider journal fit carefully before submission.
