Abstract
Epidemiological, clinical and laboratory studies have provided a large body of evidence on the benefit of physical exercise in reducing the morbidity and mortality of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, type 2 diabetes (T2D), hypertension, cancer, obesity, depression, solid organ transplantation and others.
