Advances in Food Technology and Nutrition Sciences (AFTNS) is committed to the principle that research on food technology, nutrition, and applied food science should be freely and immediately accessible to the widest possible audience — food scientists, nutritionists, product developers, and researchers alike.

Immediate Open Access

All articles published in AFTNS are made freely available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription, registration, or paywall restricting access, and no embargo period (see Publisher Policies).

No Access Barriers

Readers do not need to create an account, pay a fee, or obtain permission to read, download, or share published AFTNS articles — important given that food product developers, nutritionists, and researchers in resource-limited settings may need cost-free access to applied food science and nutrition research.

Licensing

All open-access content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing readers to copy, distribute, and build upon the published work, provided appropriate credit is given (see Copyright & Licensing).

Alignment with International Open Access Standards

AFTNS's open access model is consistent with the principles set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
