About the Journal

Advances in Food Technology and Nutrition Sciences (AFTNS) is dedicated to publishing rigorous, peer-reviewed research spanning food technology and nutrition science — from novel food product formulation and nutritional composition analysis to aquaculture and applied nutrition research.

Global food and nutrition challenges — including sustainable food production, nutritional deficiency, and the development of healthier or more accessible food products — require research that spans food science, agriculture, and public health nutrition. AFTNS exists to support open dissemination of research that advances food technology and nutrition science across this broad applied field.

AFTNS publishes work spanning original research and product-development studies — reflecting genuine ongoing coverage of topics such as sustainable aquaculture and fish health management, nutritional and antioxidant analysis of germinated grains, lactose-free dairy alternative formulation, and functional food products targeting specific health outcomes such as weight management, based on the journal's actual published content.

Editorial Leadership

The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief George F. Grant, PhD, supported by an Editorial Board of researchers with relevant expertise in food technology and nutrition science.
