Repository Policy

Because Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine (CSMM) publishes under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), authors already have broad, standing permission to deposit and share their published work — no separate request is required.

Authors May, at Any Time, Self-Archive:

• Preprint version — the version of the article before peer review
• Postprint version — the final author-accepted manuscript after peer review, before publisher formatting
• Publisher's PDF version — the final published version of the article

...in any Open Archives Initiative (OAI)-compliant repository, personal website, or institutional repository, with no embargo period.

Conditions

• The original publication in CSMM must be clearly cited, including a link to the published version where possible
• No embargo period applies — the final published version may be deposited immediately upon publication

Recommended Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit in a recognized institutional or subject-specific repository — such as PubMed Central (where eligible under funder mandates), an institutional repository, or a discipline-specific archive relevant to cancer and molecular biology research — to maximize discoverability.

This Repository Policy applies to author copies deposited independently of the journal, and operates alongside — but separately from — CSMM's own Archiving Policy, which describes the journal's official preservation of its published archive through the PKP Preservation Network.
